What is Base? How does it work?
Base is your energy provider and backup power provider in one.
We install a large battery (from 25 kWh to 50 kWh) at your home for a low upfront cost. You get power from us at competitive rates because our batteries help balance the grid—charging when demand is low discharging when the grid needs support. When the power goes out, your battery automatically kicks in to keep your home running. Our current system protects against 97% of outages.

Do I need solar to get Base?
No, you do not need solar to work with Base. Base works with or without solar panels and integrates without affecting warranties or requiring system rewiring. Solar members get:
- Backup power during outages
- Extended protection since panels can recharge your battery during outages
- Competitive solar buyback at wholesale rates + 3¢/kWh

- $995 for 50kWh dual battery system
Professional installation included.
Annual membership (starts year two onwards):
- $225 single battery
- $345 dual battery
Includes maintenance, support, monitoring.
