From time to time, Base may offer promotions, bill credits, gift cards, or other incentives. Each is governed by its own terms which may include eligibility requirements, expiration dates, and per-member limits. By participating in any promotion, you agree to those terms. Promotional bill credits are not redeemable for cash.
General terms
These terms apply to every Base promotion unless a specific program says otherwise.
Eligibility
To receive a promotional reward, your Base account must be active and in good standing at the time the reward is issued. “Good standing” means your account is not past due, suspended, or in collections. One-time rewards are limited to one per service address unless the promotion expressly states otherwise.
Form of reward
Promotional rewards are issued as bill credits applied to your Base account or, where noted, as third-party gift cards.
- Bill credits are not redeemable for cash and are not transferable.
- Bill credits have no value if your account is closed before the credit is applied. Base will not reissue a credit lost because an account was closed.
- Gift cards are issued through a third-party platform (currently Tremendous). Base is not responsible for lost, stolen, or expired gift cards once issued.
- If total rewards you receive in a calendar year exceed $600, Base may issue an IRS Form 1099-MISC and will request your taxpayer identification number. Failure to provide a TIN may result in withholding.
Combining promotions
Promotions cannot be combined with each other or with other discounts unless the promotion expressly says they can. If two promotions apply to the same account and cannot be combined, Base will apply the higher-value promotion.
Modification and termination
Base may modify, suspend, or end any promotion at any time. Changes do not affect rewards already earned but not yet issued. “Earned but not yet issued” means the trigger event has occurred and the waiting period has run.
Fraud and abuse
Base may withhold rewards, reverse rewards already issued, or remove a member from a promotion if Base reasonably concludes the member has:
- referred themselves or created duplicate accounts to generate rewards;
- provided false or misleading information in connection with a promotion;
- engaged in coordinated abuse of a referral or incentive program; or
- violated any applicable law or the Base Terms of Service.
Base’s determination is final and not subject to appeal, except as required by the dispute process below.
New members only
Unless a promotion expressly says otherwise, it is available only to new Base members who have not previously held a Base account at any Texas service address. “New member” is determined at the household level.
Governing law and disputes
These promotional terms are governed by Texas law and are subject to the dispute resolution provisions in your Base Terms of Service, including any arbitration clause. Questions about eligibility or reward calculations are determined by Base in the first instance. If you disagree, submit a written dispute to support@basepowercompany.com within 60 days of the date the reward was (or was not) applied. Base will respond within 14 days.

- Each limited-run promotion is announced with a specific start date, end date, reward or discount, and eligibility criteria. Those details are the controlling terms for that promotion.
- Expiration
- Limited-run promotions expire on the stated end date. Base does not honor expired offers regardless of when a member first saw the offer.
