Knowing that I have battery backup is a welcome addition - and the price is right. Fortunately I have not had - yet - had to rely on the battery, but that demonstrates to me that in spite of all the horrible weather we have had, I can rely on maintaining the poser I would need should it becomes necessary.

I am one of the early adopters of Base Power battery system. The price was right and was easy to get going with paperwork. They took care of all the permitting and installation. They proactively tested the system against all kinds of failure situations, they have even tested running my ACs and sent a HVAC tech to install soft start so that it puts less load on the battery and solar system. Love the concept of micro grid where they can choose to use my battery to send power to the grid under high demand. Note: This is a long term commitment and you do not own the battery, its like leasing your home to them for a small fee and in turn get a battery backup. Looking forward to getting my hands on the Android app.

From the initial contact through the installation, this has been a pretty easy process. The installers were great! They worked all day to set up our two batteries and they did not leave any mess at all and there were substantial materials and packing so I was very impressed by that. The operation has been seamless and the app is very easy to use.

Base has teamed up with Charge Pro to install my Base dual batteries today. Ben and his team were very professional. They were early to the install but did reach out via text to let me know they were on the way. Im sure ever installation is different. They overcame some of my situations and when done verified all looked good and worked as it should. Including verifying my solar and sense monitoring apps were reading correctly. Base chose an awesome crew to represent them and do it right. Keep it up Ben and crew.

The Best Decision I Ever Made Choosing Base Power.

Base brought its A game all through the process. From my initial inquiry to working through the details of the installation plan and execution. Their team has excellent attitudes and strong skills in every role I interacted with. Everyone was positive, leaning forward on any and all issues and making things happen. Dylan and Thor and their helper from Charge Pro were excellent. Dylan and Thor listened and answered all of my questions with strong expertise - they’ve done many many installations. Belton AC was also excellent- he listened as well and explained the work he was doing to prepare the AC units. Joseph and Nathan from Base engineering and finance, respectively, were awesome! Smart guys who know their stuff and willing to take questions and get them answered when needed. Base has assembled an excellent team and offering. I’m looking forward to life with their batteries backing us up.

Base always got back to me when I had a question. I heard of them a year ago and added myself to their interest list for their Houston area launch. Due to the location of my meter their install wasn’t traditional, but they definitely made it work and I am happy with the outcome. From start to finish the whole process took about 3 weeks. It was faster for my coworker who signed up when I told him about it. His meter was in a more traditional location so that freed up some time. I’m not nervous about the spring thunderstorms coming anymore and knocking out power for hours at a time as I know the batteries will back us up and kick on in half a second. I recommend them to anyone who wants the security of immediate back up power without paying $12,000+ for a noisy generator you also have to pay to maintain. Base takes care of all the maintenance and provides a lifetime warranty. So far I’ve been impressed and as I already mentioned, even got a coworker to sign up.

We signed up wit Base Power in November of 2024. Probably one of the best decisions we have made. There have been several power outages in our neighborhood since then and while the rest of our Oncor neighbors were dark, we had power to live our lives as normal. Customer Service is top notch and I personally recommend them to every one I come in contact with. If you are considering a backup generator, take a look at Base Power as a lower cost option with great service and benefits to boot!

To be upfront and transparent, the pricing from Base Power is very competitive. We paid $600 for the installation of two 25kWh batteries and $345 for the Base membership. So for less than $1K, we got a 50kWh back up system installed (YMMV). If there is a better deal out there, I'd like to know. Honestly, I was skeptical at first. But, the value makes sense when you understand their business model: you don't have direct control over the batteries because Base Power uses them to help support the TX grid by selling energy when it's needed to balance the grid. In return, they ensure your backup power is always replenished. It's an interesting win-win setup. Our overall process was overwhelmingly positive. The installation was smooth, communication was excellent, and the batteries have worked exactly as advertised. You might notice a tiny, brief power fluctuation when the system switches to battery, especially with a large appliance running, but it's not an issue. The only hiccup was a minor miscommunication on the installation distance from our wall (it was 3" instead of the quoted 6"-12"). However, their team was very responsive and agreed to work with us if it causes any issues for future painting. So far we are about 3 months in and I know we have used the batteries at least 3 times and are very happy with the outcome.

I never thought I would leave Green Mountain Energy, but choosing Base is the best choice I've made to start off 2026! Their prices are an even better choice for 100% renewable energy PLUS a bonus solution for Texas grid issues and emergency power outtages. Solar and whole house generators are not affordable and Base is the NEW modern solution! From initial contact to the final installation today, Base Power was a pleasure to deal with. All of my questions were promptly answered. The low rates, an affordable backup power solution at an affordable price make this a phenomenonal deal. I was worried about the installation and how it would look on the side of a Villa where space is limited. It looks great. Not an eye sore at all. The pallet of installation materials was quietly delivered at 3:45am to my driveway the day of installation and the 2-man crew arrived right on time, installed the entire system literally in hours, cleaned and packed everything up like they were never there. Base handles everything including the energy company coming out and marking the gas and electricl lines. I'm so happy with the Experience, and excellent customer service. You’ve gotta check-out this new TX power company! Base Power Company. They make both power and whole-home power back-up batteries super affordable, and they install quickly. They beat everyone in the Texas market and not by a little, by a lot!! The paperwork was easy to understand and fast to complete. Their 3 year kilowatt-per-hour rate is lower than my previous power company charged, and that makes up for the total (very low) cost of the batteries paid over 3 years with no interest, so it’s a wash… pretty much like I’m spending nothing. My batteries were installed and tested on 12/17/24, in time to beat the winter storm power outages and I’m grateful. The sales team and the installers were polite, kind and efficient, with perfect clean up after the installation completed. This company is definitely a 5 star organization, 100%

The entire process from signing up to installation was great. Base power kept me informed through the process. Having solar panels on the house, we had a hard time finding an electric provider that wasn’t charging us a higher rate for electricity import. Base power had the best rate per KW. Love having the ability to keep power on during an outage without paying the high upfront cost of owning a battery and using my panels to recharge the battery during an outage. Battery was installed on a Wednesday. Friday we evidently had multiple power outages in the neighborhood during the day. We didn’t know about the outages until someone posted on our neighborhood Facebook group about it. The battery and automatic transfer switch did its job by keeping everything on in the house. We are still waiting for our first month’s electric bill to come in and to see the difference from what we were paying Reliant. Also love that Base covered my early termination fee from Reliant. Highly recommend Base power if you are on the fence about them.

Our Base Power battery was installed today. We’re excited to have battery backup for those rate times we loose power. The Install Crew was great. Everything went as expected. They tested the battery and everything responded seamlessly.

I switched to Base Power 3 months ago and the whole process was flawless. I now have a battery to protect my house against power outages. Working with Base Power was amazingly simple via text messages to send pictures of my breaker box, the wall and space behind it. My battery was up and running 3 weeks after signing. I love that I rent the battery makes it it so much more affordable. Also the price for electricity is great and all the account management and billing is super simple. Definitely a great experience, I only regret I did not switch earlier….

Hello and good day I had to remove my good review and now I'm giving a bad review this is absolutely ridiculous they came to my house they damaged my $5,000 pool pump heater air conditioner for my pool then they brought some piece of crap far less of quality the guy that leaves it in which is the subcontractor left it my gate open let my dogs out and then he left it on a pile of rock he didn't put it in my garage or my breezeway didn't even knock on the door he was an arrogant man I tried to gain his attention and he refused he just came in all angry lazy thing down leaves my gate open my dogs get out finally bring another one but the person that did it drained my hot tub pump still running my pool went down almost halfway it took me 4 days to refill the swimming pool they did nothing about it I still haven't got a receipt for this thing so if something goes wrong then I'm screwed they also forgot to turn on the power breaker I went two days with no AC because they turned it off and forgot to turn it back on they also did the same thing for the heat pumpthey're a bunch of damn liars their advertisement shows some lady her bill is $400 and now she's got bass and it's $200 my bill went up $200 I've never been over 400 and my first bill from them is $600 I strongly urge you not to use this company it's a bait-and-switch and it's a bunch of lies how is it they can advertise it's going to be cheaper and my bill goes up it's just my wife and I the only power going during the day is the television AC is kept at 78°there is no excuse for this I want them to come in and extract this garbage out of my yard this is absolutely ridiculous imagine your bill goes up and they advertise this lady saying oh I hooked up with Base and my bill went down $200 well I hooked up with Base and it went up $200 I'm on a fixed income and these people are taking advantage of me they damaged my hot water heater for my pool they took care of it but it was a nightmare for it to happen my experience was absolutely horrible and I'm mad as hell this is supposed to be a discount not paying more can you handle that elderly people on fixed income I know I can'tthey came to my house they created damage they didn't do a good job and they left my power off for 2 days on my air conditioning unit as I'm cooking in 100 + 3 weather only discover oh by the way I called and told them I've had no listening for 2 days what's up they also didn't turn the switch on for the for my pool heater and again they drain my hot tub and half of my pool and left the pool pump running it didn't burn up.

Do a little research and I think you will find that the Base Power battery back-up system is as close to a no brainer decision as you are likely to find. Customer service was excellent from start to finish and we now have a whole home battery back-up for power outages at a small fraction of what it would have cost otherwise. and our electric bill went down! They started installation early on the selected date and got finished the same day. A separate box truck came that afternoon and hauled off all the trash, packing materials, and crates…. wonderful! They installed the unit where I wanted it. It looked great. A few days later, they came back and replaced two of the barreries that they determined were not preforming up to their standard…at no extra cost. Since then, the has kicked in during a storm just as it should and runs with no noise unlike my neighbors generators. So far, all good!

Base is excellent. I found the company while watching a YouTube commercial. Decided to do my own research and after many great reviews, decided to give them a try. Installation was great. Andrew & Dom showed up on time, were very professional and installed my system exactly as they said they would. I'm glad to finally have backup power when I need it and was MUCH cheaper than the other companies that charge $15k - $20k for whole home gas generator systems.

This is amazing!!! Literally the electricity went out for a split second and then came back on. It was important because I had several zoom conference calls that I'm leading while also remoting into my firm's VPN. The entire Base power experience has been terrific. From the initial determination of our home’s suitability to the constant hand holding to the installation and followup. Very satisfied with Base as my power provider. The backup battery is VERY convenient, especially when living in an area that experiences frequent outages. The app is intuitive, and even allows me to see my power usage, which has helped me learn where I can conserve energy throughout the day.

I want to ensure transparency since the website does not: Base power has full control of the battery installed, you will only get power from it when there is an outage. If you choose to leave after the 5 year contract they will uninstall the battery from your house. You also must use them as an electricity provider. The representative answered all my questions respectfully but I cannot recommend the use of this service, unless $3k and a 5 year contract are worth the potential to have 6-24 hours of power during an outage, based on their own website. I hope they offer more valuable service options in the future.

I have been with Base Power about eight months now, and I could not have made a better choice. Prior to switching to Base Power I downloaded my utility statements from my previous provider and my electricity bills with Base have been much lower in comparison. The battery itself is quiet and out of the way. I know that I have made the right choice in making the switch to Base Power.

I saw a news post of someone who had selected Base after a bad experience with their portable generator…. I went online and checked into Base and what they offered. I’m so glad I did! From initial customer service answering questions, through the installation process have I been impressed. Base took care of everything from soft start on my AC’s, to the whole home surge protector. Icing on the whole process was a great rate on my power! After market support has not changed either. High recommendation for Base. (Full disclosure - have not had an extended outage yet…).

A month and a half ago, my neighbors lost power for seven hours and I didn't even know. Base had already kicked in.

We are so happy that we have switched to Base Power. We have had such low bills. We had 2 months where we paid nothing at all.

Base Power was the best cost/benefit investment we made about Energy Backup, associated with our Solar System.

Really so far everything has been perfect.
