What our members say

While I thought it was too good to be true, Base’s solution is exactly what I’ve been looking for - backup power for an affordable upfront cost. Also excited to support a Texas-based team determined to fix our grid’s problems.

Melinda

Just got my system installed. The initial communication and the install process has been great!

Joshua

Fantastic experience overall, thankful to have Base Power at three of my properties in Texas!

James

I have been a customer since June. The team is fantastic, the price is reasonable and gives our family peace of mind having a battery. Looking forward to seeing this company thrive.

Bryan

The idea of saving money, having a backup system, and environmentally friendly were the top reasons I chose Base. I've always wanted a backup system. I love how the system works. It is quiet, efficient, and a great thing for our planet. Thor and Everett were polite, professional, and courteous. I recommend Base Power and fully endorse their products!

What's the biggest difference between Base and other energy companies?

Base Power doesn’t just provide reliable power for individual homes—Base is redefining how energy storage systems can support the entire power grid.

We're happy to answer all your questions

To get with Base, you pay a $50 refundable deposit upfront. This deposit applies toward your one-time installation cost once your battery is installed.

  • Installation fee: $695 or $995 (varies by zip code and plan)
  • Your $50 deposit will be credited toward this fee

Ongoing Costs

Membership Fee

  • $19/mo or $29/mo, depending on your plan

Monthly Energy Bills

  • If you have solar panels, Base buys back any excess energy you produce at:
    • 4¢/kWh

Calculate Your Savings

Use our bill comparison tool to see how much you could save with Base.

Which Base plan is right for me?

If you want protection from outages, Energy + One Battery covers ~97% of Texas outages and takes up minimal space.

For maximum protection and capacity, Energy + Two Batteries will power your home through extended outages (up to 48 hours with reduced energy consumption).

How do I compare my current electricity bill to Base's rates?

Look at the "average price per kWh" on your current bill—this is the price per kWh you're paying for electricity.

Base offers transparent, competitive rates without the gimmicks many providers use. We'll help you calculate your expected savings during signup.
