It recharges the battery at 4 kilowatts on a 240V generator, or 2 kilowatts on a 120V one, while Base keeps powering your home, lights included. Keep it fueled, and you can extend your backup for days.

Yes. It's standard on every new Base Core, at no additional cost and no separate service visit.
Earlier battery models didn't include the port standard, so it can't be added to those after installation. Every new Base Core comes with it built in.
No. Base converts the generator's power before it reaches the battery, so a standard, less expensive generator works fine.
Yes. A 240V generator recharges Base at 4 kilowatts, and a 120V generator recharges it at 2 kilowatts. Either way, the battery keeps powering your home at the same time.
Base keeps running on whatever charge remains in the battery. The generator is a boost, not something Base depends on. If anything on Base's side has an issue, our electricians fix it at no cost.
