I am impressed by Base's use of technology to manage our power and thereby save me money. Their app is very useful and will developed. Knowing that I have battery backup is a welcome addition - and the price is right. They have always responded to all comments in a timely fashion and their public announcements are very useful and informative. Fortunately I have not had - yet - had to rely on the battery, but that demonstrates to me that in spite of all the horrible weather we have had, I can rely on maintaining the poser I would need should it becomes necessary.
The installer text and introduction himself as well as the two other to help with the install. The were very professional and kept a clean work sight. At the end explained all on how things worked Great job Andrew and crew.

I am one of the early adopters of Base Power battery system. The price was right and was easy to get going with paperwork. They took care of all the permitting and installation. They proactively tested the system against all kinds of failure situations, they have even tested running my ACs and sent a HVAC tech to install soft start so that it puts less load on the battery and solar system. Love the concept of micro grid where they can choose to use my battery to send power to the grid under high demand. Note: This is a long term commitment and you do not own the battery, its like leasing your home to them for a small fee and in turn get a battery backup. Looking forward to getting my hands on the Android app.
From the initial contact through the installation, this has been a pretty easy process. The installers were great! They worked all day to set up our two batteries and they did not leave any mess at all and there were substantial materials and packing so I was very impressed by that. The operation has been seamless and the app is very easy to use.
Base Power installation went smoothly and I am happy with how the system was setup behind my fence as requested. Very satisfied with the whole customer experience from the beginning to the end. The business model made a lot of sense to me and so cost effective! So looking forward to being the quietest home with power during outages in our neighborhood.

Base has teamed up with Charge Pro to install my Base dual batteries today. Ben and his team were very professional. They were early to the install but did reach out via text to let me know they were on the way. Im sure ever installation is different. They overcame some of my situations and when done verified all looked good and worked as it should. Including verifying my solar and sense monitoring apps were reading correctly. Base chose an awesome crew to represent them and do it right. Keep it up Ben and crew.
The Best Decision I Ever Made Choosing Base Power.
Base brought its A game all through the process. From my initial inquiry to working through the details of the installation plan and execution. Their team has excellent attitudes and strong skills in every role I interacted with. Everyone was positive, leaning forward on any and all issues and making things happen. Dylan and Thor and their helper from Charge Pro were excellent. Dylan and Thor listened and answered all of my questions with strong expertise - they’ve done many many installations. Belton AC was also excellent- he listened as well and explained the work he was doing to prepare the AC units. Joseph and Nathan from Base engineering and finance, respectively, were awesome! Smart guys who know their stuff and willing to take questions and get them answered when needed. Base has assembled an excellent team and offering. I’m looking forward to life with their batteries backing us up.
Base always got back to me when I had a question. I heard of them a year ago and added myself to their interest list for their Houston area launch. Due to the location of my meter their install wasn’t traditional, but they definitely made it work and I am happy with the outcome. From start to finish the whole process took about 3 weeks. It was faster for my coworker who signed up when I told him about it. His meter was in a more traditional location so that freed up some time. I’m not nervous about the spring thunderstorms coming anymore and knocking out power for hours at a time as I know the batteries will back us up and kick on in half a second. I recommend them to anyone who wants the security of immediate back up power without paying $12,000+ for a noisy generator you also have to pay to maintain. Base takes care of all the maintenance and provides a lifetime warranty. So far I’ve been impressed and as I already mentioned, even got a coworker to sign up.
We signed up wit Base Power in November of 2024. Probably one of the best decisions we have made. There have been several power outages in our neighborhood since then and while the rest of our Oncor neighbors were dark, we had power to live our lives as normal. Customer Service is top notch and I personally recommend them to every one I come in contact with. If you are considering a backup generator, take a look at Base Power as a lower cost option with great service and benefits to boot!
To be upfront and transparent, the pricing from Base Power is very competitive. We paid $600 for the installation of two 25kWh batteries and $345 for the Base membership. So for less than $1K, we got a 50kWh back up system installed (YMMV). If there is a better deal out there, I'd like to know. Honestly, I was skeptical at first. But, the value makes sense when you understand their business model: you don't have direct control over the batteries because Base Power uses them to help support the TX grid by selling energy when it's needed to balance the grid. In return, they ensure your backup power is always replenished. It's an interesting win-win setup. Our overall process was overwhelmingly positive. The installation was smooth, communication was excellent, and the batteries have worked exactly as advertised. You might notice a tiny, brief power fluctuation when the system switches to battery, especially with a large appliance running, but it's not an issue. The only hiccup was a minor miscommunication on the installation distance from our wall (it was 3" instead of the quoted 6"-12"). However, their team was very responsive and agreed to work with us if it causes any issues for future painting. So far we are about 3 months in and I know we have used the batteries at least 3 times and are very happy with the outcome.
I never thought I would leave Green Mountain Energy, but choosing Base is the best choice I've made to start off 2026! Their prices are an even better choice for 100% renewable energy PLUS a bonus solution for Texas grid issues and emergency power outtages. Solar and whole house generators are not affordable and Base is the NEW modern solution! From initial contact to the final installation today, Base Power was a pleasure to deal with. All of my questions were promptly answered. The low rates, an affordable backup power solution at an affordable price make this a phenomenonal deal. I was worried about the installation and how it would look on the side of a Villa where space is limited. It looks great. Not an eye sore at all. The pallet of installation materials was quietly delivered at 3:45am to my driveway the day of installation and the 2-man crew arrived right on time, installed the entire system literally in hours, cleaned and packed everything up like they were never there. Base handles everything including the energy company coming out and marking the gas and electricl lines. I'm so happy with the Experience, and excellent customer service. This innovative partnership model makes this totally affordable for EVERYONE and a win-win for all. It's almost too good to be true: but it IS! 😁THANK YOU Base!

Base Power did a phenomenal job from start to finish with our installation. Communication every step of the way! Easy to deal with! Upfront process with regard to pricing. We were on the fence between generator and backup battery. Going with a generator would have meant additional work and expenses. Went with the portable generator option just in case we have an extended outage. The install team which included Andrew, Dominic, and Brody were awesome, informative, and thorough!
