Running on grid
Running off grid
When the grid’s up, you’re saving money.
Base gives you a low fixed rate locked in for 3 years.

On renewal, your rate’s legally guaranteed to be below market average.

You get a free whole-home battery through Base x Lennar
It gives you seamless, automatic backup during outages and helps stabilize the grid when there's no outage.
Switches over in under 1 second | Up to 48 hours with reduced energy use | Whole-home protection
Your battery shifts with the grid.
It charges when energy is cheap—like overnight—and may share some power back when the grid is stressed. That’s how we help stabilize the system and offer the battery for free.

So if your charge level isn’t always full, that’s expected.
We always keep backup in reserve.
Your battery charge will fluctuate, but it rarely drops to the 20% minimum. We monitor weather and forecast outages so we can protect your backup—keeping you powered for as long as possible.
We’re always watching for shifting conditions.
Even on quiet nights, our systems are analyzing the grid, the weather, and your battery’s charge level. When signs of trouble start to build (even subtly), we adjust how your battery is managed, making sure your home is as prepared as possible for whatever’s coming.
When the grid goes down, your battery takes over.
Your backup kicks in, usually under half a second. You might not even notice.

A single battery lasts up to 24 hours at reduced power consumption.

So, what happens next?

Step 1
Activate Base before closing
You can talk with one of our Lennar-specific Energy Advisors, or take your time exploring (you’re already in the right place).

When you're ready, hit the 'Activate Base now' button anywhere on the site to get going.
SCHEDULE YOUR INSTALLATION
Step 2
Installation day. We’ve got it covered.
Most installations take about 5 hours, with just a couple hours of downtime. We’ll place your battery outside near your meter on a clean bed of crushed rock.

After that, your home is backed up, connected, and ready for whatever comes next.
Peace of mind.

Trusted by thousands of Texans

You’ve gotta check-out this new TX power company! Base Power Company. They make both power and whole-home power back-up batteries super affordable, and they install quickly. They beat everyone in the Texas market and not by a little, by a lot!! The paperwork was easy to understand and fast to complete. Their 3 year kilowatt-per-hour rate is lower than my previous power company charged, and that makes up for the total (very low) cost of the batteries paid over 3 years with no interest, so it’s a wash… pretty much like I’m spending nothing. My batteries were installed and tested on 12/17/24, in time to beat the winter storm power outages and I’m grateful. The sales team and the installers were polite, kind and efficient, with perfect clean up after the installation completed. This company is definitely a 5 star organization, 100%

Love our new battery backup system with BasePower! The process was super easy, and our rep walked us through everything and answered all of our questions. The permits and install went faster than expected, and we're so happy to have our backup system setup for the winter and potential grid issues. Thanks, BasePower!!!

While I thought it was too good to be true, Base’s solution is exactly what I’ve been looking for - backup power for an affordable upfront cost. Also excited to support a Texas-based team determined to fix our grid’s problems.

The idea of saving money, having a backup system, and environmentally friendly were the top reasons I chose Base. I've always wanted a backup system. I love how the system works. It is quiet, efficient, and a great thing for our planet. Thor and Everett were polite, professional, and courteous. I recommend Base Power and fully endorse their products!

Paperwork and power companies

We coordinate everything with your utility (Oncor or CenterPoint) to make sure you're all squared away.

Built to be flexible, even if you move

Your energy rate is locked in for 3 years, and the battery agreement lasts 12. If the new homeowner signs up for Base, everything transfers easily. If not, we’ll remove the system for a flat $500—no matter when you move.

Installed for your home, not just any home.

We find a clean, code-compliant spot for your system close to your electric meter, and install a soft start if needed to support larger HVAC systems.

We're happy to answer all your questions

What is Base? How does it work?

Base is your energy provider and backup power provider in one.

We install a large battery (from 25 kWh to 50 kWh) at your home for a low upfront cost. You get power from us at competitive rates because our batteries help balance the grid—charging when demand is low discharging when the grid needs support. When the power goes out, your battery automatically kicks in to keep your home running. Our current system protects against 97% of outages.

How expensive is Base?

Base is cost competitive with grid scale storage by vertically integrating hardware, software, and deployment processes to drive down costs.

Because batteries are customer-sited, there are no interconnection, land, BOP, or other costs normally required for utility-scale storage.

What are the battery specifications?

Base’s “Gen 1” product is an 11.4 kW / 25 kWh battery. Customers can get two batteries in parallel for a total of 22.8 kW / 50 kWh. Current battery specs are linked here.

Savings on your power bill.
Protection against outages.
Peace of mind for both.
